so many patterns so little time....

ok so i bought like 7 new patterns last night and i'm just itching to get them finished and post them for you all. that being said i was all set to make one of them this evening till i was introduced to the CUTEST lil' baby boy today and just knew that i had to come home and make him a newsboy hat. ok ok ok i know i've already posted one of these but this one is for a baby boy. hope you like it





i think the baby blue buttons just add the touch it needs.

Up side to not feeling good

i've not felt very well the past week dr's think it's my gall bladder so i have had the ultra sounds and they all look good so i now have to have a test called a hida scan....tells the function of my gall bladder and i'm SUPER nervous. the upside to not feeling good is that i've had some time to crochet...LOOKIE AT WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO!!!

I recommend buying your favorites even though some colors (mostly neutrals & fall colors) will still be available in packs of 24. Some colors may rotate with the seasons, but we have no way of knowing until the new Idea Books come out each season. So if you love New England Ivy for Christmas or Outdoor Denim, buy it now. A Long Day

So I finally got some hats finished :o) they are for a set of twin boys and they are soooo cute (the hats too) Turns out I will be having a long and busy weekend...busier than I had expected but it will be fun. I'm kind of disappointed in myself. I have been in this wonderful Bible study with and exceptional group of women, but, I've slacked off on the study and I'm not happy with me. Not only have I slacked off on the study but I've slacked off on my weight loss too *sigh* I really need to get motivated; I would love to lose another 20 lbs or so. I just feel as though I've been so busy, but when I look back at what I've been doing these past few weeks I'm like.....uh, what have I been doing? I'm just so drained and I have no idea why. So this week I have a prayer request to go out....I need motivation, I need the Lord to show me what I need to be doing in my life to start making the pieces fit together a little easier. I know I need to be in His word and I'm starting that and I'm not going to give up. Thanks so much for listening and for the prayers that I know are going to go up. Friendship

I've always been told that if I could count my true friends on one hand then I should consider myself blessed...and am I ever. I've never had an abundance of friends, never really wanted that many, but the ones I have now I'm so very grateful for. This is a card I made a while back for a friend of mine whom I love dearly.



We've been through a lot together and I pray we will always remain as close as we are today. She has been such an inspiration to me and has taught me so many things...things she probably isn't even aware of.



From time to time I make little things like this to give to my friends to remind them that I'm always thinking of them and how much I love them. Everyone likes to be reminded of how much they are loved and cherished.

So I encourage you to give a handmade card to a loved one today and make them smile.

Owl be watching you

When I came across this pattern I knew I just had to have it. The owl is just so dang cute and everyone hoo (LOL) has seen it has fell in love with it. This is one of the few ways that it can be made; I'll post the other versions soon. This owl was made for our pastors daughter.




Had a few people suggest that I make a matching purse out of this little owl pattern then I got to thinking about a matching scarf too...these are in the works. Hope you all enjoy. Don't forget it's never too late to get started on Christmas shopping.

Newsboy hat...for a girl

Good Morning everyone :o) I hope everyone is having a blessed day!!! I'm super excited about getting this blog going so I'm uploading a picture of my latest project with my phone (promise to load a better picture later). This is a newsboy hat that I have made for my daughter using a pattern from the wonderful Ms. Bonnie over at Sunset Crochet, Thanks Ms. Bonnie!!! Hope you all like it.
